Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies @
Vitor Ambrósio, has been teaching at ESHTE – Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril (Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies), since it was founded, in 1991. He also teaches in several B. A., Master and Doctoral programs from other Institutions.
Prior to this he had worked as a travel agent promoter and tourist guide.
He has a B. A. in Tourism and a B. A. in Literature and Modern Languages (English and German) from Universidade de Lisboa. He holds a master degree and a PhD in Geography from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He organized several international congresses and he has been serving as a reviewer for many international journals and conferences. He has also been participating in some research projects funded by the EU and/or by FCT (Foundation for Science and Technology).
He has published in several scientific journals and he has also collaborated in many editions as author of book chapters. His main research interests are Religious Tourism and Tourist Destination Management.
